The teardrop motif originated in Persia and India and is a symbol of Life and Eternity. The original pattern was riddled with hidden messages and mysterious symbols, and traveled the silk route from East to West, and now adorning the bandanas of cowboys , bikers and the boho set.   It was popularized by the Beatles in the 1970’s and became an icon of rock and roll followers.
